The Design Process
It’s important to me that you know how I work right from day one.
No smoke and mirrors here!
How It Works
Discovery Call
Every project starts with a Discovery Call. This is a quick (and complimentary) 15 minute phone chat where I'll ask you a few questions about your project such as time frame, investment, and project goals.
Step 1
Consultation
House tour! Even if you're only interested in focusing on one area, a complete tour of your home can help me to understand how you live in the space and provide advise on other areas if needed. During the tour, we’ll discuss what works, what doesn’t and your preferences. After the tour, I’ll take a comprehensive set of measurements and photos to guide the design process.
Step 2
Design Proposal
Within 48 business hours of our consultation I'll follow up with a design proposal that includes a detailed Scope of Work for your project outlining the design services and fees and a Letter of Agreement.
Step 3
Presentation
The Design Presentation is typically scheduled 3 – 4 weeks after signing the Design Proposal, depending on the project size and my schedule. However, for projects with staged elements, the final renderings or Specifications Sheet can serve as the project close-out.
Step 4
Feedback
This part is crucial for me to work with you more efficiently, effectively and creatively now and in the future. I rely on your openness and honesty throughout the design process to help me, help you. You can't hurt my feelings! Please tell me how you really feel. We'll all be happier with the end result!
Step 5
Implementation
After final revisions to your design concept, you’ll receive your comprehensive project Lookbook that includes clickable images to sourced products and details on design solutions like paint, color blocks and installations.
I’m available throughout the process for any questions, concerns, or additional services, and to celebrate your projects success!
Step 6
Your project is as unique as you are.
Not all projects fit in a box or follow the general process.
I work with you on budget, timeline and process to create a game plan that not only makes sense to you, but you’re excited about.
