A lot of smaller storage and seating options can make a small space feel chaotic and cluttered. Insider tip, stay conscious of your space and how big may just be too big and a little ridiculous.

Trick Number 2: Use Your Wall Space

When you don’t have floor space, use what you do have. Don’t compromise on the things you don’t want to like bed size. Instead put the walls (or even the ceiling) to work making up for lost floor space function.

Narrow shelves above or beside, swing arm lights or wall sconces and you’re back in business as the hostess with the mostess and the coziest guest bed in town.

There is no better way to capitalize on every square inch that your small space has to offer than customized built-ins. Period. This also helps to control the visual clutter which is needed in keeping small spaces seem huge, reduce clutter where ever possible.

These two go hand in hand, why break them up. White (or light) walls actually reflect the light while darker paint shades absorb it making a light and neutral palette a no-brainer for visually expanding your space. While we’re at it, let that natural light shine right in, your white walls need something to reflect!
